Once nontraditional, same-sex divorce is becoming commonplace

Same-sex marriage has been legal in the state of Massachusetts since 2004 -- long before it was made legal nationwide in 2015. With same-sex marriage comes the need for same-sex divorce options. While this all used to be considered nontraditional, it is now commonplace. This does not mean that getting through the divorce process will be easy or straightforward.

When divorce mediation is the right choice

During the divorce process, things can get a little heated. Sometimes, going to court is necessary in order for disputes to be resolved. Get help with your relocation custody dispute

Do you need to move out of state and want to take your kids with you? Or are you on the other side of the fence and your ex wants to take your children away from you? Before any move can take place, according to Massachusetts laws, if you and your ex cannot come to agreeable terms on your own, the relocation is going to need court approval. An experienced attorney can help you with your relocation custody dispute, regardless of which side of the fence you find yourself.

An alimony dispute could land actor John Schneider in jail

Actor John Schneider is known for his role in the Dukes of Hazard. However, he has also been seen in several other shows, written and directed several stories and films, and even had a successful music career. Through his hard work, he was able to provide a good living for himself and his wife -- a life he was expected to help her maintain following their divorce in 2014. A recent alimony dispute could land John behind bars, however. This is a fate anyone in Massachusetts or elsewhere who fails to make support payments could share.
